Retail Packaging Design

It is a common belief of brand owners that retail packaging is as important as product itself. The role of retail packaging is crucial with respect to branding the product in market. The retail packaging is a great way for differentiation of your product from other available products in market. The packaging makes it easier to express uniqueness of your product from other available products of competitors. To take your product ahead of the others and to make your brand stand out, it is pretty essential to know the key ingredients for successful and effective design to bring out the best in your package designing.

This “why to choose” statement can clarify and communicate easily what your product is all about and why is it unique or how it differ from others. Some brands use this statement on the packaging at the top to answer and communicate with the customer for effectively selling of their product through providing brief description.
With the primary header of “why to choose/buy” statement, a detailed secondary statement is also written on the back of the package. It gives a detailed description of what the product is all about and how can it benefit you. What ingredients have been used? Apart from these, the contact information is also printed to deliver them to the customers.
A brand promise statement that is a highlighted statement in front of your product’s package helps a great way to promise a customer loyalty and durability. The statement shall be created as to deliver a message about your product and brand in an impressive manner. This highlighted statement is often a first impression you make on the customer so make sure it to be perfect.
The structural design is a very important phase of decision. The shape and size shall be decided as to impress the customer and grab his attention on first look. The initial experience of your customer with brand is its outer look which comes up with packaging. The structural design shall be an experience which a customer shall consider a memorable introduction. The structural design is a feature to be worked upon if you want to ensure the customer walking out of the store with your product in hand.

The graphical packaging design is second most important factor after choosing structural design. The graphical designing shall compliment structural design as to capture the attention of customer at first glance. Retail packaging has a role of back bone to enhance the sale of any product hence retail packaging design is a continuously growing phenomenon for many years.
